Julian is a Consultant to the Practice and was previously Senior Partner. Julian joined DLG in 1984, becoming the practice’s youngest partner at 29 years old. For over 35 years, Julian has led the practice in growth and successes across the UK and internationally, establishing strong regional bases in the north and south of England and leading expansion in to a multitude of diverse sectors.
A highly experienced practitioner and member of multiple industry bodies, Julian is a frequent public speaker at conferences and author of several technical papers as member of Revo Technical affairs committee. A qualified Principal Designer himself, Julian has a strong Interest in developing individual and collective talent within the Practice and mentoring of younger staff and students. A keen observer of skill levels within the wider construction industry, he advocates for continuous training, supports ongoing skills development and is a past critic at Kingston and South Bank universities.
Outside practice, Julian’s personal interests involve making furniture, skiing, playing golf, and supporting Crystal Palace and his family.
