DLG’s completed project for MODA Living, New York Square – the first residential phase of the SOYO masterplan – has achieved an incredible 3-star Fitwell rating, making it ‘the healthiest place to live in Leeds’ and the first in the city to receive the accreditation.

Following MODA’s previous acheivements in delivering healthy and highly-rated residential developments, the project embeds wellbeing at every turn, encouraging physical activity through attractive walking routes and a highly-equipped gym space, to using technology to monitor and maintain healthy internal environments.

Led by partner Andrew Gardner since the ambitious masterplan was won in competition, the SOYO project team have focussed on delivering the best in healthy build-to-rent environments. New York Square provides 515 apartments; the next phase of our masterplan is currently on-site.

DLG’s commitment to wellbeing in design and the built environment will be bolstered in 2023 as we add WELL Acccreditation to our in-house skillset. Alongside qualification in Passivhaus design and historic building conservation, we are proud to be able to offer crucial expertise and consultancy in areas key to delivering sustainable and lasting architecture and communtities.
