STORY

Sweet Street West is a multi-phased masterplan for the vacant former Kays Catalogue site in Holbeck, Leeds. DLG Architects were appointed by our Client, Platform_ (and their parent company Westrock) to develop the masterplan and take forward a hybrid planning application to deliver approximately 1,300 homes and 200,000sqft of office space alongside complimentary commercial and community spaces.

Our proposals for Sweet Street West look to create a new high-quality residential and commercial neighbourhood, set within a network of new publicly accessible open spaces. This is a development site with huge potential, firmly rooted within the established community of Holbeck.

“Throughout the planning process, we have positively engaged with Leeds City Council to ensure that our vision gives the city what it truly needs, and we are thrilled that they share our vision so that we can now, together, make it a reality.

“As we progress our sustainable community, we’re looking forward to continuing our positive relationships with the local authority, stakeholders and importantly, the local community. With a thoughtful design, stellar resident benefits and sustainability at its heart, PLATFORM_ is delivering a blueprint for modern-day living.
