story
Granted full permission in 2025, DLG was appointed to review and improve the masterplan with a focus on buildability, design and community.
Comprising a mix of 456 high-quality open market sale and affordable apartments, the scheme will offer excellent residential amenity through the provision of landscaped terraces and gardens.
The two central ‘pavilion’ blocks make note of the site’s former use as a gasworks, referencing the form of the historic round gasholders, first introduced in the early 1900s.
Delivering for developer Zenith Land, the scheme features a rich material pallette of stone and brick, counterbalanced by architectural metalwork and framing to the pavilions.
Victoria Simpson, Partner | DLG Architects LLPThis development marks a turning point for Epsom, providing outstanding residential accommodation across five bocks in a vibrant public realm. Our amends to the scheme rationalise the elevational treatment and drive commercial and buildability improvements, and we look forward to working with the incoming contracting team to finalise the technical design.
