Granted detailed Planning Consent in late 2023, this new purpose-build student accommodation block forms one of the final phases of the DLG Architects-designed masterplan, SOYO.  

The proposals provide a hyper-efficient layout and 360 rooms in a range of formats. 132 rooms are provided in a 6-person ‘cluster’ arrangement, with shared facilities and living space. The other 228 rooms are studios, including shower-rooms, kitchenettes and study space. All residents will have the benefit of excellent amenties and facilities, including lounges, study areas, a gym and external landscaped grounds.  

SOYO has been truly transformational for Leeds, bringing investment and jobs to the city, as well as our already-completed, multi-award winning first phase of 515 BTR homes. Phase 2 – Blocks B&C – completes on site in January, delivering 300 new homes.
