We’re the right people for the job. We’re an innovative, award winning practice with offices in both Leeds and London. Proud to work from two of the most creative cities in the country, we offer a truly collaborative experience.
We combine decades of expertise with an agile approach to working across multiple sectors. Most importantly, we are passionate about great design and we’re ready to work with you to achieve the best possible outcome for your project.
We believe buildings are a reflection of their inhabitants, the people that use them day in and day out. Therefore, design should always be emotive, should start conversation and hold interest. So, we stay curious, we look ahead to ensure our buildings are at the forefront of both design and user experience. We will work with you to ensure your project exceeds your expectations now and is capable of evolving to meet your changing needs in the future.
The practice to me has always had an underlying belief that great design is a combination of the conceptual, visual and functional requirements of a building. Its real success is measured by the delight of the owner, occupier and the wider community
Julian is the Senior Partner, and has overall responsibility for the London & Leeds studios, splitting his time between the two. Julian successfully led the practice’s growth in the north of England and London.
Andrew has extensive experience within both the Leeds and London markets and has led a number of successful large developments within the residential, office, retail, leisure, education and masterplanning sectors
David has a wealth of knowledge in the fields of masterplanning sports, leisure and education. He has a broad experience which has been gained from projects including the National Sailing Academy.
Based in our Leeds office, Martin has worked at senior level on a wide portfolio of projects whilst at DLG, including the Rudding Park Hotel. These include some of our largest retail, leisure and mixed use schemes.
Ed originally started working with the practice in the Leeds office in 2000, working on several significant retail schemes, including major refurbishment proposals at centres in Preston, Wakefield, Darlington, Buxton and Ayr.
Based in our London Studio, Vicki has extensive experience leading projects in sectors including multi-unit residential, schools and higher education, hotels, cultural, civic and private houses.
Neil has worked at DLG architects for the last 15 years and has over 25 years of experienced delivering projects across a range of sectors.
Simon’s delivered a number of innovative Workplace schemes in the north, but has a wealth of experience in the residential & masterplanning sectors. He also likes to think of himself as practice entertainments manager.
Our people are at the heart of all we do, and we recognise that without their passion and creativity, there would be no DLG. We understand the importance of allowing our team to develop and improve through dedicated training; this can mean anything from the passing of specific exams, such as those to qualify as Conservation Architects, or taking a sabbatical to work with a sister practice in America. Ultimately, we’re committed to ensuring everyone’s full potential is realised.
We’re very proud to have worked with a huge number of clients, spanning a diverse range of sectors. We don’t specialise in one type of design, because we believe that our skills and expertise can be applied to any project or brief.
We are passionate about teamwork. Collaborative working is vital; it improves the impact of our projects and allows us to share best practice. We’re proud to have been recognised by BT’s Vision 100 award for our commitment to partnering.
